BioI am a college student at Fort Hays State University, currently double-majoring in English and Philosophy. Contrary to popular opinion, I do not plan to teach after I get my degree( if I can avoid it). Don't get me wrong, I admire those with the patience to teach, but the schools are not my natural habitat. (I was homeschooled until technically my junior year in high school, but I went ahead and graduated early.) I am a major nerd, and have been known to randomly quote Stargate, Farscape, and Star Trek episodes. I have eclectic tastes in music, ranging from some bluegrass to classical crossover to rock to world pop. I currently work at our local historical society, as their custodian/registrar. I'm also going to be doing some transcription of interviews with WWII vets for them as well. What else... I'm currently a blue belt in Karate. My specific type is sport karate, based on Tae Kwon Do, Judo Kwan, and Go Ju Ru. I enjoy reading, writing, beading, knitting, crochet, singing, etc.
